Then I called Hendershot hoping to find better pricing. Not only was the part over $100 less expensive, but the price to put in a new furnace was about 40% less expensive as well. I opted for a new furnace (since mine was over 20 years old), and they told me I could have a new furnace 2 days after Christmas. However, they still came out to my house the same day I called to check out the furnace and installed a temporary part to fix my furnace at no extra charge so I would still have heat over the holidays.
Never hire these people.

I was very impressed with this company. My furnace broke a few days before Christmas. I called a local company in Morgantown (not Hendershot), and they came out to my house, told me the motor was broken, and charged me an $85 and told me the part would cost $500 and a new furnace would be about $4800, and it would be a few weeks before they could put a new one in.
Very unprofessionable. I was looking for someone to install gas logs in my fireplace. At first contact I was instructed to go purchase the logs and call to make an apptment to install. When they arrived at the appointed time they had no tools or materials needed for the job. After 15 minutes left stating they would return. For the next week and after four phone calls I was scheduled for the installation. The morning of the installation I was called and told they can not do the job. The reason given was they can not drill thru ceramic tile. I am now left with a set of gas logs sitting in my living room purchased at their direction. DO NOT RECOMMEND but you try them at your own risk.
After these people broke our furnace on a call, and admitted to this, i spoke with the owner. During a 15 minute conversation with the owner, he directly lied to me 3 times. He immediately back-tracked on all 3 lies after I gave enough information to him that he couldn't deny the facts. After this, in order to repair the damage that his people caused, and admitted to, he tried to extort from me the full repair cost.
The company went above an beyond to make sure I was happy, and they even gave me a 10 year warranty on the furnace and said to call anytime if there was ever a problem. I very much appreciated the extra help I was given by Mark and the entire staff and would definitely recommend them to others.
